2015 Nigeria Elections: Police IG Reveals Plans To Ensure Security

The latest redeployment in the Nigerian Police is a step to reposition the service for a smooth electoral process come 2015.

These were the words of the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar on Friday in Lagos at the pull-out parade of five senior medical officers.
Mr Abubakar pledged the readiness of the Police to ensure the safety of Nigerians.
“You will see a lot of things, first of all, we are doing training and retraining programme. As I’m talking to you we have a very large number of officers of units of Mobile Policemen in Gaza, Pakistan, Israel and in India for training.

It's meant to induce feelings, and maybe for some it does. A 13-year-old Briton from Lancashire admitted the rape of his 8-year-old sister. The male teen appeared before the Blackburn Magistrates Court on Thursday and said he did the act after watching porn on the family Xbox.
He recalled viewing the lewd material on the games console with a friend and decided to try what he saw on his sister whom he thought could not remember what he did since she is still small.

Gunmen kill Students in Nigeria College

Suspected militants stormed a college in north-eastern Nigeria and shot dead around 40 male students, some of them while they slept early on Sunday, witnesses said. The gunmen, thought to be members of rebel sect Boko Haram, attacked one hostel, took some students outside before killing them and shot others trying to flee.

Police arrest 11 with 2 fresh human heads in Onitsha Anambra state



Onitsha, on Thursday, experienced another horror, as Anambra State police command arrested 11 persons and discovered two fresh human heads, two military AK47 rifles and two magazines in a hotel (name withheld).
Nigerian Tribune gathered that policemen from the Onitsha Area Command, acting on a tip-off, swopped on the hotel located at the bank of the River Niger in the popular Ose-Okwodu market in the early hours of Thursday. After several intelligence gathering concerning the criminal activities in the said hotel, where they arrested 11 suspects, which included male and female accomplice and the owner of the hotel.
